Few things in this world are more fucked up than acid attacks. Recently Sergej Filin of the Bolshoi ballet had acid thrown in his face by a man on the street. I was absolutely shocked when I read about the incident. Even more shocked and upset I was when I realized that most acid attack victims do not have access to the medical care available to Sergej Filin. Women in countries such as India and Pakistan who are attacked with acid have their entire lives ruined. Much worse than the burning pain of the acid, must the life-long deformity and loss of eye-sight be. It really makes you want to do something, anything. 

If anyone knows of a charity or an organization that works with acid attack victims, please tell me!
